Top 7 Natural Conditioners for Dry Hair

1. Honey and Coconut Oil for Dry Hair

Coconut oil is rich in Lauric acid and is great for your hair. Honey possesses excellent moisture content and is rich in antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Other than that, it possesses high moisture content.

A combination of these two ingredients creates an excellent conditioning mask for dry hair. It is easy to prepare and you can apply it once a week for slightly dry hair and twice a week for very dry hair.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rose Water
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt

Preparation

  1. Take one empty glass jar and pour all the ingredients into it. Mix the ingredients well till they get combined.
  2. Apply the conditioning treatment. Keep the mixture for half hour.
  3. Rinse well with your favorite shampoo.

2. Coconut Milk to Treat Dry Hair

If you are looking for a rich alternative to coconut oil, then you can consider applying coconut milk.

This milk contains all the goodness of a natural coconut and possesses excellent moisturizing and conditioning properties. It is even good to fight various hair problems, like dandruff, frizziness, and hair loss.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 4 tbsp Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp Rose Water
  • 1 Vitamin E Capsule
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Glycerine

Preparation

  1. You can pour all the ingredients in a glass bowl and mix them well till everything dissolves.
  2. Apply the mixture on your hair and scalp.
  3. You may cover your hair with a shower cap and let it rest for 15 minutes to half hour.
  4. You may then rinse your hair well with lukewarm water and shampoo.

3. Aloe Vera Mask for Conditioning Dry Hair

Aloe Vera gel or Aloe Vera extracts are great natural hair conditioner. It is rich in moisture content and provides a cooling effect to the scalp.

Aloe Vera Extracts are also great to combat various dry hair problems, like hair loss, dry and itchy scalp, dandruff, and even rough texture.

But one thing you need to be sure of is to take fresh Aloe Vera gel directly from the herb. The reason behind this is that the market-based Aloe Vera gel may contain chemicals that may harm your hair.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsps Fresh Aloe Vera Gel
  • 4 – 5 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Preparation

  1. Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
  2. Comb your hair and make sure they don’t have any oil or tangles.
  3. Apply the mixture on your hair and let it rest for half hour.
  4. Wash off as usual.

4. Egg Yolk for Dry Hair

This one is a simple method with just one ingredient.

All you need is egg yolk, which has so many benefits for the dry hair. Egg yolk is rich in proteins, is great to hair moisturizer, and it even enhances the hair texture.

If you have dry, rough, and frizzy hair, then there is nothing better than applying egg yolk.

  • Egg Yolk

Preparation

  1. Take two egg yolks and beat them well.
  2. Make sure your hair is clean and dry. Apply egg yolk and keep it for almost 20 minutes to half hour.
  3. Wash well with a shampoo. The odor will go away shortly.

5. Nourishing Dry Hair with Olive Oil

Olive is the second most favorite oil after Coconut oil.

Olive oil is great to nourish the scalp as well as hair. Olives are rich in vitamins and minerals that are great to improve the hair texture and volume.

Olive oil even helps to alleviate the problem of dandruff and itchy scalp.

  • Olive Oil

Preparation

  1. Take a small quantity of olive oil and heat it on low flame. You need to just warm the oil enough.
  2. Massage the warm olive oil into your scalp and hair.
  3. Cover all the hair and then wrap your hair with a warm towel.
  4. Wait for a half hour and then wash off with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.

6. Yogurt Conditioner to Treat Dry Hair

You must have heard about the benefits of yogurt for your skin, but have you heard that yogurt is packed with lots of vitamins and proteins that are essential to have great, silky hair?

Yogurt can be mixed with other ingredients to prepare a powerful mask for dry hair. Or, you can also apply yogurt directly to your hair to deep condition and nourish it. Regular application of yogurt can help combat the problem of dry, rough, and frizzy hair completely.

  • Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 5 drops Peppermint oil, 1 tbsp Coconut oil, 1 tbsp Olive Oil (optional)

Preparation

  1. Take yogurt and honey in a bowl and mix them well.
  2. You can even add your favorite essential oils into the mixture.
  3. Also, you can mix coconut oil and olive oil (optional).
  4. Apply the mixture on your scalp and let it rest on your hair for half hour.
  5. Wash well with lukewarm water and shampoo.

7. Almond Oil and Honey

Almond oil is an excellent solution to treat dry hair completely.

Ingredient

  • 4 tbsp Almond Oil
  • 1 tbsp Honey

Preparation

  1. Take warm almond oil and mix honey into it.
  2. Apply the mixture on your hair and keep it for half hour.
  3. Wash well with a shampoo and conditioner.
